It has come to our attention that the NW-A1200 (8GB) is now shipping to US consumers via Sonystyle for a cool $199. Available in pink or violet (which is the color your face would have turned from using Connect Player), it will ship with Sonicstage 4.0CP. It’s hard not to recall an executive from Sony stating during CES, “It will be ready when we decide that the software is ready; there are no hardware problems.”
Should Sony have offered different colors? Marketing for this product in the US, like most other Sony audio products, is slim to nil. Here’s hoping the horde of new products arriving in the fall will have a more graceful entrance.
