It’s time for yet another SonyStyle Japan’s Special Limited Edition Walkman. This time around, the NW-E002 (512MB) and NW-E003 (1GB) will join its larger brethren, the NW-E005/S in this time-honored tradition of special Sony product classification. The new limited edition “ガチャピンのウォークマン” Gachapin Walkman: NW-E003/GACHA (200 limited units) and NW-E002/GACHA (300 limited units) will retail for 16,590 yen (approx. USD137) and 13,650 yen (approx. USD113) respectively; pre-orders begin today until February 28, 2007.
The exclusive Gachapin edition’s bundled accessories of felt pouch, carrying case and specially made box comes in lime green color scheme. Other than its exclusive bundled memorabilia, hardware specifications of the NW-E002/G and NW-E003/G are identical to the standard NW-E002/003.
