Robert Oswaks has been upped to president of marketing at Sony Pictures Television.
Oswaks, who was executive vp marketing, oversees the development and strategic implementation of advertising, marketing, promotion and media/client relations efforts for network, syndication, cable and new-media programming as well as corporate brand marketing activities.
He joined the company eight years ago as executive vp marketing at Columbia TriStar Television Distribution. Following Sony Pictures Entertainment’s merger of its U.S. television operations in 2001, Oswaks was named executive vp of the new SPT division. He reports to SPT president Steve Mosko.
“Bob has taken marketing to the next level, embracing our new lines of business and executing new and interesting programs to talk to our audiences both within the entertainment community and across the many platforms that reach viewers,” Mosko said.
Meanwhile, SPT has beefed up its new-media marketing team with several promotions. Chris Van Amburg has been named vp new media, digital and mobile marketing; Steven Gadecki has been named senior manager, new-media marketing; Kendra Moore is now director, digital marketing; and Allison Higgins has become senior manager, mobile marketing.
In addition, Rachel Mizuno has been upped to vp affiliate marketing.
