Sony Electronics Inc. launched a nationwide video contest to find the best examples of people using high-definition products to express their passions. Starting today through September 15, 2008, individuals can submit their entries online at www.whatsinyourhdna.com. The video contest asks PC-owners the question, “What’s in your HDNA?” and to showcase their answer in a one-minute video relating to music, movies, videos, games and pictures. An example featuring popular vlogger KATERS17 asking the public to submit their video can be found at whatsinyourhdna.com.
HD technology is at the core of Sony’s DNA and the contest seeks to find individuals who personify VAIO style – superior Sony HD technology plus multimedia experience. The perfect centerpiece for the contest, Sony’s VAIO line of notebooks offers superior craftsmanship, integrated HD technology, and an eye for style. Whether photography and sharing high-definition images is your passion, creating an online soundtrack to your High-Def life or producing indie short films with your HD camcorder and PC, Sony wants to know how you use HD.
Sony will judge all video submissions to identify a group of five finalists and one winner that best represents the brands HDNA qualities, including: originality, visual appeal, general creativity and effectively capturing Sony innovation.
The grand prize winner will receive a complete Sony High Definition prize package, including the theater-inspired VAIO FW HD notebook. Five additional finalists will also receive a new VAIO FW HD Notebook. Go to www.whatsinyourhdna.com, for all of the information needed to enter, including contest rules, guidelines as well as sample images, audio and graphics to get started. No purchase necessary to enter to win.
