Sony at CEDIA continued its dominance in HD arena by presenting to the public the latest and greates in Audio Visual entertainment. The ES (Elevated Standard) line has proved to be a strong arm in bringing the most for your audio enjoyment and has even more to offer this time around.

Both models feature Ethernet ports so that your HD content can be seamlessly streamed in 1080i quality to your second room without any hiccups.  It is currently can be accomplished a wired connection at the moment, but I forsee in the nearest future a clean wireless HD streaming clients that can be still used with this receiver. The STR-DA6400ES/5400ES 7.1 channel receivers have a 120-watt power amplifier x 7 (8 ohms, 20 Hz – 20 kHz, 0.09 percent THD), six HDMI inputs (five rear, one front) with Direct Stream Digital and two HDMI outputs.
