LA Times Staff Writer Alex Pham recently sat down with Stan Glasgow, President of Sony Electronics Inc. (in USA and Mexico), and asked him a few questions regarding the current and future economic atmosphere for Sony. While the interview is short, it is still revealing as he states that Sony is definitely aware of the tight-spending by consumers in his region, how 60% of consumers still need to upgrade to HDTV’s, and how material costs are rising and effecting Sony’s bottom line. It’s a great interview, and really gives a human face to how Sony is keeping positive in order to survive in these chaotic times.
