SOE President John Smedley Digs Obama
Many people vote, but when it comes to high figures in companies such as Sony, their preference suddenly becomes interesting. President of Sony Online Entertainment, John Smedley, is reported to be a backer for Obama in the US Presidental elections. This is rather strange, though, as the Wall Street Journal has reported John McCain has personally met Sony Chief Executive Officers. We can imagine politics probably never come up between Smedley and Sony CEO’s, as their communications are usually limited, and mostly business related. However, wouldn’t it be interesting to see some of these CEO’s and other high figures in Sony discuss their political choices and why? I would love to hear what benefits Sony as a company sees in each canidate.
