I thought I would provide a few personal comments since I have been playing LBP for a while (obtained the controversial leaked copy). The game is fun, fun, fun!!! Servers were live since Monday so I checked out the levels created by other users and some were really well done and fun to play, others were kinda meh…the good thing about it – you can rate those creations and express your opinion by using Word stickers and providing comments. Of course, Creating a level is not an easy process, takes lots of time and thought. The game does provide helpful tutorials before you dig into Creating, the possibilities are simply endless and I can see this game last for a long time. By the way, I would suggest to get the LBP Guide which is over 300 pages and is really well done. It has walk throughs, will help you Create your own levels and has tons of hints and info you would not know about.

The real fun comes when you play with your (PSN)friends or join others. A number of levels require two or more players to get certain prizes or to simply help each other out by pulling objects together, give a hand in anything else. Feel free to use headsets (bluetooth is the best I think, less obtrusive, wire-free) to talk to each other and figure out best ways and maneuvers to achieve the best results. You can play hours and hours and do not notice the time slipping by. I did notice it takes sometimes a while to load a new online game, there was a lag during some game play as well which drove me crazy. I believe those instabilities will be ironed out as servers get updated and tweaked…there is a massive pool of people that is about to play this game in the US and Japan, and Europe is going to be added next week, so the servers are better be ready for us – players!
