Mark Orne and Michele Garra Promoted At SPE

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has promoted Mark Orne to executive director of worldwide market research, according to VP of worldwide media, digital marketing, market research and national promotions Jane Mohon, to whom Orne will report. Sony also named Kim Overall managing director of Australia and New Zealand. She will report to senior VP of Asia Pacific Michele Garra.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has promoted Mark Orne to executive director of worldwide market research, according to VP of worldwide media, digital marketing, market research and national promotions Jane Mohon, to whom Orne will report.

Orne will oversee Sony’s global marketing divisions as well as report on general industry and consumer trends. He has led consumer intent-to-purchase and package testing campaigns for Sony’s DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases worldwide.

“Mark has been instrumental in advising on important buying insights affecting consumer decision-making as well as industry trends. His contribution to our overall understanding of the market and what consumers want is invaluable,” said Mohon.


Overall

Sony also named Kim Overall managing director of Australia and New Zealand. She will report to senior VP of Asia Pacific Michele Garra.

In her new role, Overall will oversee all sales, marketing and operations for SPHE in Australia and New Zealand.

“Kim’s leadership and strategic vision make her a great addition to our senior team,” said Garra. “We felt it was a critical time to bring industry experience and customer alignment to this senior role and we are happy to have found both in Kim.”
