Sony Ericsson is introducing a new phone for the popular T Series called the T715 available in Galaxy Silver and Rogue Pink that will be available in 3Q 2009. This 3G equipped phone comes with a 2.2inch screen (262,144 color, 240×320 QVGA), a compact slider design, support for video calling and a 3.2 megapixel camera (with 3.2x digital zoom) with photo light. Other noteworthy features include MicroSD compatibility, Stereo Bluetooth (A2DP), a Netfront web browser (why no webkit?), and Exchange support. FM radio, Youtube support are included along with access to the PlayNow store. The inclusion of Google Maps is welcomed, but apparently there is no built-in GPS. It works off the cell-id, which the accuracy of this method can be as good as a few hundred meters in urban areas, but as poor as 32 km in suburban areas and rural zones. The accuracy depends on the known range of the particular network base station serving the handset at the time of positioning.
