I came across a great video on IGN from the developers of the popular console video game Battlefield: Bad Company. The audio director of the game, Stefan Strandberg, explains how this game differentiates from games DICE have released in the past in the sense that the audio isn’t resampled audio effects from other sources, but are rather in-house recordings made outside with real weapons and vehicles. It looks like these guys need to spend more time outside, but hey, I’m just as guilty of being a hermit myself.
