Financial Times Reports Sony Ericsson To Debut Unlimited Music Download Service

The well respected, and often correct publication Financial Times has given information regarding plans for Sony Ericsson to release a new unlimited music download service (for a monthly fee). SE’s new service will be priced competitively with Nokia’s mobile music store and debut soon. The Financial Times reports, “Sony Ericsson is in discussions with all of the major labels about a rival subscription service. It hopes to announce the product before the end of September, with a view to launching in Europe before Christmas.” and “It already has agreements with EMI, Warner Music and Sony BMG, as well as several independent labels, but not Universal Music, the largest of the majors.”
