Folding@Home users were able to download the long-awaited Life for Playstation application yesterday night briefly for a few hours until Sony noticed and cut the cord. The application came in form of an update, and this is a rather unusual breach of software on Sony’s part that Sony Insider has never seen before. While the release date of the application was slated for August and pushed to September, perhaps this is an indication that the application will arrive in the next few days. Sony has really dropped the ball with the release schedule of this application and I’m honestly tired of writing stories about it.
“While testing the application, Life with PlayStation was available for download temporarily, by mistake,” a SCEE spokesperson told Eurogamer. We previously covered the Life for Playstation application here.
